- My research interests include mathematical algorithms, especially artificial intelligence algorithms such as knowledge discovery from data by latent spaces and privacy-enhancing machine learning, and high-performance computational algorithms for large-scale simulations.
I am a member of SIAM (Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics, USA), the Japan Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (JSIAM), the Mathematical Society of Japan, and the Information Processing Society of Japan.
I was awarded the 2018 Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) Prize for Science and Technology for my research achievements in eigenvalue analysis algorithms.
In the JST CREST “Creation of System Software Technology Contributing to Post-Petascale High-Performance Computing” project, he also developed massively parallel eigenvalue analysis software technology for next-generation supercomputers.
